On April 12, Jiang Zengwei, President of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS), met with Tomislav Momirovic, Serbian Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening communication and cooperation in the field of trade in services. Li Weiwei, Secretary-General of GATIS, also attended the meeting.

Jiang Zengwei introduced the relevant activities and collaborations of GATIS since its establishment. As an international open platform, GATIS is committed to promoting exchanges and development in trade in services among countries and regions, fostering cooperation between business associations and enterprises in this field, cultivating new models and formats for trade in services, and enhancing the development level of trade in services in various countries. Jiang expressed the hope that the Serbian side will actively recommend business associations, enterprises, and think tanks engaged in trade in services to join or establish cooperative relationships with GATIS. Through this international platform, GATIS can enhance communication and cooperation with Serbia and its members. Cooperation modes can be diversified, such as conducting mutual visits, jointly holding exhibitions, forums, seminars, and other activities in Serbia. These efforts aim to contribute to the healthy development of global trade in services and the prosperity of the world economy.

Momirovic stated that Serbia is actively promoting domestic economic development, with a focus on infrastructure, e-commerce, transportation, logistics, tourism, and commerce. The Serbian side is pleased to recommend relevant business associations, companies, and think tanks to join GATIS and is willing to strengthen contacts and cooperation with GATIS. Serbia will support reciprocal visits between the two sides and welcome the organization of diverse activities by GATIS's member enterprises to promote the development of trade in services in Serbia. Both sides should leverage their respective advantages to facilitate the high-quality development of trade in services in Serbia.
